INDUSTRIAS ASTIVIK S.A. was founded in the year of 1972 with  100% private capital, to cover the repair and maintenance needs  of all the vessels affiliated or property of Vikingos de Colombia S.A.

With the growth of the maritime and river growth in the Caribbean, the need to revaluate the service policy was created expanding its coverage to construction, repair and maintenance of vessels for the national market with a grounding capacity up to 200 tons.

In the beginning of 2004, the first floating dock was built and design in Colombia, with a length of 60 m., 195, interior breadth and a hoisting capacity of 1.350 tons.

In April of that same year  C.I. Pesbocol, Vikingos de Colombia S.A.’s new name, sold its participation in Industrias Astivik to Carsun LLC., a North American company based in Miami. Under this new management, Astivik purchases in October 2005 all of C.I. Pesbocol’s infrastructure and afterwards builds a second floating dock with a hoisting capacity of 2,000 tons.

INDUSTRIAS ASTIVIK S.A. is currently considered one of the first Shipyards in Colombia with an area of 67.384 square meters and two floating docks, one 700 hundred ton  and one  200 ton capacity docks. The latter has a grounding and lateral transference system that allows doing works simultaneously to seven grounded vessels. It has a trained team directly contracted by Astivik and a group of companies ascribed, serving us by the outsourcing system.

INDUSTRIAS ASTIVIK S.A. also has its own equipment that guarantee the effectiveness of the works, such as cranes, compressor, airless painting sprayers, among others.
